These carriage rides, drawn by magnificent Norman draught horses, follow the paths on our estate, and allow visitors to experience the magic of horse-drawn travel.

Relax to the rhythm of the carriage and the sound of the horseshoes clip clopping on the ground…

Practical information

The carriage rides are available on show days.

As these rides are very popular with our visitors, we strongly advise booking in advance.  The carriage can usually take up to 10 passengers.

We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your departure – the carriage ride lasts for 30 minutes, and the vehicle is covered so offers protection from weather.
