LE PIN NATIONAL STUD

A walk through the stables and a visit of the Discovery Trail in Stable no. 1

Guided tour of the National Stud and unaccompanied visit of the Discovery Trail in Stable no. 1

Joining in a guided tour of the National Stud introduces you to the stables that house approximately 40 horses comprising 10 different breeds, all having the role to promote horse-breeding in France in one way or another.

As for the National Stud’s Discovery Trail, this will help you better understand the complex world of horses. It provides an ideal prelude or a complementary conclusion to the guided tour of the Stud!

Inside those 18th Century walls, you can find live horses in stalls where you will discover a colourful and modern world enhanced by today’s technology: films, interactive terminals, optical theatre, etc.

All this can be appreciated, not only by the real amateur horseman, but also by those having little knowledge of the subject, e.g. to learn more about breeds, breeding and the various trades (saddler, farrier, etc.).

The circuit can be explored at one’s own pace and according to each person’s particular interests, whether you be alone or accompanied by friends, family and children, or even as a group.

Why not be tempted by this original setting and take a stroll down horsey lane to learn at your whim or just to enjoy that special feeling of the horse world? And all this through the sheer expertise of the "Le Pin" National Stud – the "Versailles for horses"!

This walk through the stables during a guided tour, or when visiting the Discovery Trail, provides a vision of the horse from the 17th Century right up to the modern day.

 A memorable experience!
