Carriages, riders and original acts staged in the majestic main courtyard of the "Haras du Pin".
Every Thursday at 3 p.m. from June to September, the magnificent Colbert Courtyard is transformed into an outdoor theatre, the actors being none other than the horses of the National Stud themselves! Stallions ridden or in-hand, mares and foals running free alongside, even a donkey, all come on stage one after the other: a horse rears in the centre, while those impressive carriages, heritage of "Le Pin" National Stud, thunder by, the cobbles vibrating underfoot.
Whether stage coach, carriage or trap, the parade demonstrates the sheer deftness of the drivers, the trade for which the National Stud institution is famed, combined with the listed horse-drawn vehicles of the past, brandishing the famous black and red National Stud colours, forever matching the horses’ coats.
Each year, "Le Pin" National Stud invites an equestrian show artist to partake in events. Taking up residence at "Le Pin", along with his or her own horses, you may witness new equestrian tricks and feats during "Le Pin Tuesday or Thursdays" showings.
In 2008, "Le Pin" welcomes Myriam and her musical horse show, with Gentlemen the Shire Horse, Bunny Boy the Shetland, and many more surprises!
An exceptional show!
